Deb Chaney is a contemporary artist creating large abstract paintings on canvas and paper. Using brushes, palette knives, and rags, she applies and scrapes away acrylics, mixed medias, sand, and collage elements to create her highly textured, multi layered art pieces. Her work is exhibited in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Santa Barbara, CA. Her most recent body of work, Pure Abstraction, is a communication of her love for nature and an exploration of texture and colour. Her biggest influences are the American Abstract Expressionist/Colour Field painters of the 1960’s.
